"Misa-chan, are you sure you'll be okay walking home without Usui?" the manager of the café asked, frowning. Misaki Ayuzawa was a very beautiful girl, and without her boyfriend walking her home, Satsuki was worried that something could happen.
Misaki just smiled and nodded her head. "Manager, I'll be fine. He's been gone for two weeks, and nothing's happened." The raven-haired girl's smiled faltered a bit. She missed him, even though she wouldn't admit it. His family had made him go to England for business, and she was left here alone.
Misaki told her friends bye, went through the back door of the café and began to walk home. She really wasn't comfortable walking home alone. Her hand felt strange without his holding it. Her night felt incomplete without a goodnight kiss from Usui. Her day felt incomplete without all of his perverted comments. She didn't feel right without him.
Misaki was about halfway home when she heard noise coming from some bushes. She braced herself to fight and whirled around. She saw nothing and shrugged. It must've been her imagination.
She continued walking, but was grabbed around the waist. She was going to scream but a hand clamped over her mouth. She was taken into an alley, where she fought with all her might..
But lost.
Ooo~ooO
About 3 days after the incident, Misaki insisted on going to school. Which proved to be a bit too much for her, but she stuck it out.
She sat at her desk in the student council room, her face in her hands. She held back the tears that threatened to spill out at anytime.
Misaki growled and stood up, throwing a box of tissues with all her might against the wall.
"How could I have let this happen?" she said to herself, flopping into her chair again. She curled up and began to cry. She felt like a weak, stupid girl. That man violated her. She used all her strength and she still couldn't get him off of her..
"It's gonna be okay," the man whispered to a struggling Misaki. She punched and kicked, and he just hurt her more. Tears streamed down her face.
He finished and kissed her lips. "That you darling.. You were amazing. I love you," he teased her with his words. He laughed and left her lying there, half clothed and crying.
Misaki stood up and walked across the room, picking up the tissues. She quickly cleaned herself up and put everything back in order, then sat back down, resting her head on her arms. She closed her eyes, knowing she wouldn't fall asleep. She hadn't slept barely 3 hours a night after the incident had happened.
But she was so tired, so frustrated that she finally drifted to sleep, snoring very lightly.
Ooo~ooO
Takumi crept into the student council room quietly, smirking when he saw his beautiful Prez sitting there, asleep. He'd missed her so incredibly much.
He chuckled lightly when he heard her snoring and decided to scare her.
But while he thought she was just napping, she was having another dream of what happened. A nightmare.
Usui quietly went to her backside and reached forward, grabbing her waist.
Misaki yelped, a very unusual yelp, and fell out of her chair. She covered herself with her arms, tears down spilling from her eyes.
"Please, please don't!" she yelled.
Usui's eyes widened. She never reacted this way.. Something was wrong.
"Hey, Misaki, it's just me," he said softly, leaning down and picking her up bridal style. He sat in her chair, cradling her in his arms.
Misaki calmed down after a while of heavy breathing, clutching his shirt tightly. "I-I-Idiot Usui, you s-scared me.." she stuttered out, looking up at him.
He smiled and pressed his forehead against hers. "I'm so sorry, Ayuzawa, I promise I didn't think you'd react that way.."
Usui knew something was wrong. Very wrong. She wasn't getting angry, she was just sitting here scared out of her mind.
He would find out..
Ooo~ooO
Misaki was acting very strange, Usui noticed quickly. She jumped at every single sudden noise, she was looking around a lot, she was quiet, and most of all, she wouldn't kiss him.
He hadn't been here for almost 3 weeks, and she wouldn't kiss her own boyfriend.
Usui saw her talking to the manager, and she looked very pale. The manger pointed sternly to the dressing room and yelled something. Misaki protested, but finally gave in and went to lay down like Satsuki had ordered.
"Manager!" Usui called out. He walked up to her, looking worried. "I need you to tell me what has happened to Misaki," he ordered.
Satsuki's eyes widened, her jaw dropping open. Then she regained composure and though about it, talking to herself. "Well, it isn't surprising.. It is Misaki, of course she wouldn't tell you. If the police hadn't said anything, we wouldn't know either because of course, she doesn't want anyone to worry-"
"Know what?" Usui cut off her ramble, a bit annoyed now.
Satsuki sighed, looking a bit sad. "Misa-chan was raped three days ago on her walk home," she said simply. She put her hand on his shoulder and jerked her head towards the dressing room. He took her hint and walked in there.
He took a moment and just stood there, taking in what he'd been told. He felt angry, sad, and shocked all at the same time. But he knew he had to keep his cool for her sake. Right now, what he needed to know was comfort her.
He stood there still, thinking, when he heard a loud bang and an angry yell.
Usui ran to the lockers to find Misaki on the ground, tears rolling down her cheeks, holding her fist. There was a large dent in the locker she was leaning against.
He went and sat by her, pulling the crying girl into his lap. "Manager told me," he said softly.
He felt Misaki gasp and clutch his shirt. "Oh, no.. No, Usui you weren't supposed to find out, I'm so incredibly sorry Usui I tried to get him off, I-I'm just so sorry.." she rambled on and on, her voice cracking after a while. She began to cry into his chest. "Please don't hate me.."
Usui's eyes widened and her looked down at her. She thinks it's her fault! And she thinks he's mad at her for not being able to stop the man.
He held her tightly and kissed her forehead. "Misaki, you- I.." he couldn't get the words out.
"I'm not angry with you, Misaki. I love you. And I'm never ever gonna let this happen again," she assured her.
Misaki nodded and stopped crying, her heart finally feeling a bit better.
Usui took his chance and leaned down, cupping her cheek in his hand. She saw it coming and met him halfway, eagerly. Their lips met and he smirked at her. Misaki felt that all too familiar half-smile of his against her lips and pulled back, raising an eyebrow.
"What?" she asked, looking confused.
"Misa-chan kissed me!" he said, looking way too happy.
Misaki rolled her eyes and blushed heavily. "Shutup you stupid pervert!"
He stole a kiss again, resulting in a yelling Misaki.
"Stop that, you pervert, or I'll never kiss you again!" she yelled.
All the maids, who were standing outside of the dressing room, eavesdropping on their conversation, sighed in relief when they heard Misaki and Usui fighting again. The manger looked especially happy. Knowing that Misaki would go back to normal soon made her feel a lot better.
Finally, after a long hour, Misaki stormed out of the dressing room her hair looking a bit TOO ruffled, her face red with a blush. Usui followed behind her, grinning like a boy who'd just made out with a girl in a maid costume.

"Unohana-taicho, where's Hitsugaya-taicho?" Momo asked the tall dark haired Captain. Normally when Momo was ill or sick, Toshiro would always come and visit. But he hadn't yet so far, and she was getting worried.
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but when I first saw him, the whole of his left side had been cut off and he was in a very unstable condition, but- oh," she was interrupted by one of the fourth company members who whispered something to her, "oh yes I understand. I'm sorry Hinamori-chan, but I have to go. I'll be back soon, just stay here and let everyone treat you, alright?" and with that, she left.
Momo was speechless. The captain's words echoed in her head a million times over. She tried to call his name, but only came out with stuttered letters. Her eyes welled up with tears that blurred her vision. It couldn't be true. It couldn't be true!
She got up out of bed quickly and ran out the door to see Unohana standing by a stretcher that had someone under a white sheet. Unohana sighed and looked at the clock and wrote the time down. Momo covered her mouth to stop the gasp, but couldn't stop herself from crying more tears.
She ran in the opposite direction and out of the barracks of the fourth company. It couldn't be true. He wasn't dead. That wasn't him! It couldn't be him! She ran faster, forcing the little energy she had in using flash step to get to the tenth company barracks.
She knew where his room was, it was almost midnight, he should be sleeping. He should be there. He would be there. She ran down the corridor and burst into his bedroom. She looked around and paused for a second.
She slowly walked over to the bed in disbelief. Slowly she collapsed by the side of it and felt the new made bed sheets. They weren't warm. They hadn't been used at all recently. She could only very faintly smell his scent. She brushed her hand over the sheets whilst resting her head on the bed, tears slowly leaking from her face.
Suddenly all her emotions bottled over and she burst out into a fit of tears and screaming. She clutched the sheets to her face, soaking up her tears like a sponge. All the pain of her injuries no longer mattered. That wasn't what was making her scream. What was making her scream was the pain of the braking of her heart.
He was dead.
He was dead. She knew it deep down but still refused to believe it. Her Shiro-chan couldn't be gone; her best friend that she had spent her life depending on. The person she trusted most. The person she loved mot more than anything.
She stopped for a moment when she thought that. She'd never really thought about him in that way, but looking at it now it was true. She had loved him. And it had taken him to die for her to finally realize that. The world was looking down on her and laughing at her. It had taken away what mattered most to her and left her to suffer with the pain.
She couldn't stop her tears. The screams and squeaks she produced were scaring her. She'd never cried like this before. She'd never felt pain like this before.
"H-Hinamori?"
She stopped.
That voice; that sweet tone that called her name like a prayer. She whipped her head around.
And there he was. Standing there in the door way with red eyes. She was scared. Scared that it was a lie. That it was a dream. A trick her mind was playing on her.
"Hitsugaya-kun! Y-you're not d-dead?"
Her words stiffened him. They had hurt him. She looked at him closely. She saw he was confused, but so was she herself. He never showed his emotions so openly. Was this really him?
"Why would you think I was dead?" he asked, taking a little step back.
He was obviously shocked, but she didn't want him to go. She couldn't let him! Maybe if she explained to him why,
"U-Unohana-taicho told me your arm and leg had been cut off entirely! I th-thought you'd died! When I woke up she told me. After she left I-I ran here and you were gone, I thought… I-I thought you …" but she couldn't say it again. He couldn't be dead. He was here now.
Tears started running down her face again as she ran into his arms. He was whole. He was here. She could feel his warm skin, his hands holding her, his white hair that brushed her face slightly. He wasn't dead. But he had come so close to it because of her.
He came and sat her down on the bed as she let the last of her tears be shed. She started letting out little sniffs instead when he said,
"Hinamori, can I ask you something?"
She stiffened. She hated him calling her that. It showed so little care for her that she almost believed he didn't care about her. She felt him breathe in deeply and let out a little sigh. She liked feeling the movement of his body. It made her feel assured he was really alive and really here with her.
"Momo," that made her look up and try to smile, but the ache of her tear stained face was painful "Can I ask you something?"
She nodded and listened to his warm voice.
"If I gave you something, something … special, would you forgive me?"
At this she sat up finding interest.
"What do you mean?"
"Would you forgive me?" he said quietly, as he moved closer to her, "Just yes," he moved even closer, so that their noses were almost touching, and whispered "or no."
She took in a silent gasp. His question had shocked her. But she knew what her answer was.
"No."
With this Toshiro opened his eyes wide with fear and pain. A pain she could tell that had broken him completely. He sat back and looked at her in disbelief. He was about to get up to leave but she grabbed his hand and pulled him back down. She looked at him and smiled. He looked confused and still hurt, but despite that, she still leant in and kissed him.
She held him there, holding the back of his neck in both hands gently. She then leant back with silent tears trickling down her face, but smiled.
"I won't forgive you, because there is nothing to forgive you for," she felt brave and so said "T-Toshiro, I knew after I asked you why you stabbed me that I shouldn't have. I knew by your reaction that it wasn't intentional. I'll admit I had my doubts, but I was never mad or upset. But the one thing I do want to know it why didn't you come and see me? I missed you."
She looked into his beautiful aquamarine eyes, but he looked away as a tear rolled down his cold skin, another rare feature she wasn't used to seeing.
"Because I was afraid. I wanted to be able to protect you. I couldn't stand to think of myself as deserving enough to be with you after to hurt you. I almost killed you. I didn't want to do it again."
She wiped away the tear on his cheek gently. And turned his head to look so that he would look at her.
"It's stupid that it's taken me this long to realize this, but Toshiro… you are the most important thing in my life. If you left, I would have nothing. Toshiro," she then moved close again to look deep into his eyes to show the true meaning of her feelings "I love you."
Toshiro frowned slightly but then wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to hug her tightly, then leant back to get even closer to her than she did to him. He placed one hand on her cheek and stroked her soft skin which gave her goose bumps.
"And I love you, Momo," he whispered over her lips.

Sitting in his office as usual felt somewhat dull. Yes it was a few minutes past midnight and there was little light. But the atmosphere was dull. There was no light touch to it that made it bearable for him to sit there all day and do his paperwork. He knew what it was.
Guilt.
Guilt was what plagued his thoughts, therefore making the air around him seem dull and heavy. He just couldn't get over it. He couldn't see past the fact that it really wasn't his fault. That they all played to it. That everyone was tricked too. It was the one thought that destroyed him. Over and over it played in his head like a broken record.
It was my sword.
It was his sword that pierced her skin. His sword that almost killed her. His sword that completely broke her. And he would never forgive himself for it.
He was finishing up his paperwork as he listened to the ticking of his clock. He tried to take his mind off the thought my doing his paperwork, but it was almost done. What would he do with nothing else to distract him?
He finally took the last piece of paper in his hands. He only needed to sign it. He sighed to himself and almost winced as he signed the paper and put it on the completed pile. He had spent all day doing paperwork. He used to just train to take his mind off his thoughts. To get stronger. But his subordinate had noticed that he was getting exhausted. She refused to let him go and train to the point where she had to use a kido spell to bind him to his chair and tell him the plain truth. Her words echoed in his head.
"Taicho, I won't let you. You have to listen to me. If you get yourself exhausted and down to squad four do you really think Momo will be pleased? If you want to please her, and protect her, you can't let yourself get ill. You're getting everyone worried. Just go back to what you do best, doing your paperwork, and telling me to do mine!" she had laughed afterwards with a deep and pleading pain in her eyes he had never seen before.
He sighed again and got up to go to his room to sleep. He took Hyorinmaru in his hand and walked slowly through his barracks. He could tell by the way he felt if anyone saw him now they would know something was wrong. He could feel the sad emotions plastered onto his face.
It was my sword.
The thought hit him again when he was just outside his room. He stopped and fell to the floor clutching his head.
It was my sword.
He winced in pain of the memory. The image of his sword piercing Momo. Her blood on him.
It was my sword.
He gritted his teeth as a single tear trickled down his face as he shouted out in a deep and painful cry,
"NO!"
He staggered up quickly to shut himself in his room as more rare tears ran down his ice-cold face when he slid the door open. But he stopped as he gasped in shock.
Sitting by his bed with her head on the sheets quivering, was Momo. She was in her light yellow nightgown and her hair was tied in a loose ponytail. She was crying, obviously quite badly because he could hear the little squeaks and gasps she made, and was clearly shaken up by something. She hadn't heard him, or sensed him yet. He took the opportunity to wipe his face and calm himself down before saying,
"H-Hinamori?"
She gasped and turned around sharply. Her eyes were dark and her expression showed her pain. She looked petrified. Her eyes were wide like a stunned deer. Had he done something? Why was she he if he had?
"Hitsugaya-kun! Y-you're not d-dead?" she said between little gasps.
He looked at her. Dead? She thought he was dead? Why?
"Why would you think I was dead?" he said quietly taking a tiny step back, which she did notice.
Momo looked at him tears pouring down her face again.
"U-Unohana-taicho told me your arm and leg had been cut off entirely! I th-thought you'd died! I woke up and she told me, after she left I-I ran here and you were gone, I thought… I-I thought you …" but she couldn't finish her sentence before bursting out into tears and running into his arms.
Her warm tears seeped through his haori and shihakusho she was crying so much. His expression softened as he took her over to sit on the bed. He couldn't believe that she ran all the way over here. Did she really care about him that much?
"Hinamori, can I ask you something?"
She stiffened at the formal title, and frowned whilst she sniffed away the rest of her tears on his shoulder. He sighed. He knew she hated it, but he knew it was just manners as well.
"Momo," she looked up at him and attempted a smile before dropping it "can I ask you something."
She nodded.
"If I gave you something, something … special, would you forgive me?"
At this Momo found interest and sat up to look at his face.
"What do you mean?"
"Would you forgive me?" he said quietly, as he moved closer to her, "Just yes," he moved even closer, so that their noses were almost touching, and whispered "or no."
He almost couldn't hear it, only just, a very silent whisper that shattered him completely.
"No."

Lizzy dreamed of Ciel's voice talking to her, soothing her. "Ciel" she muttered. It almost sounded as if he was crying. Why would Ciel be crying? Should she comfort him? "Ciel, it's alright, I'm fine, "she muttered, rolling over. Then she felt her heart clench. Ciel was dead. So who was this?
Her eyes snapped open. Ciel's small face was bent over her, tears dripping down his fragile cheeks. "Oh Lizzy, Oh Lizzy!" he sobbed.
Was this a dream?
Then she remembered. The small, small bottle.
She was dead.
Now that she knew it was real, that she had really done it, she thought of all the things she couldn't in life. Her mother and father. Edward, he brother. Her life outside of Ciel. But she looked back up at Ciel's beautiful face and knew she would never be completely happy without him. Without knowing somewhere he was there.
"Ciel," she whispered.
His eyes opened. "Lizzy?"
"Yes, it's me. I'm fine."
"No! You're not!" Ciel suddenly shouted. It scared Lizzy, this sudden change. "Don't you realize? You're dead!"
"Ciel..." Lizzy said hesitantly.
"What happened? Was it murder?" Ciel asked. He was still hanging on to the vain hope that Lizzy...that she hadn't... She hadn't...
"I committed suicide," Lizzy said quietly.
Ciel broke down. "Oh Lizzy! Why? They surely haven't found my body yet! Hell, I doubted they would find it at all!"
Lizzy looked at him, confused. "What? Ciel, Sebastian brought back your body over a month ago. London's being rebuilt. They launched a murder investigation, but nothing was ever found."
"Murder Investigation? Why?"
"Ciel! You had a hole straight...straight through..." Lizzy broke down into sobs. "You're body...*sniff* was so small, so white, so cold..."
"Hush, Lizzy. It's all over now." Everything's over. For you, at least. But he kept these thoughts to himself.
The angel in the desk looked up. "Ciel Phantomhive?"
Ciel looked at her. "What?"
"The final judgment on your soul has been made."
Ciel stared at her, wide-eyed. "What?"
The angel looked sympathetic. "I'll give you a few moments to say goodbye."
Ciel grabbed Lizzy shoulders. "I love you Lizzy. I always have, and I always will. I…" he faltered, then took a deep breath and carried on. "I doubt I will be going to the same place as you. But, I just want you to know…that…" Ciel looked into his fiancé's wide green eyes. He kissed her, and threw his arms around her.
"I love you so much Lizzy," he said. Then he smiled wanly, and stood up. "I'm ready."
Lizzy watched as he talked quietly to the angel, then left through a side door she hadn't noticed. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
The angel looked at here. "Elizabeth Middleford?" She nodded.
"Would you please come over here?"
Lizzy walked over to her.
"You are a suicide victim, correct?"
Lizzy nodded.
"Well, suicide victims are always given a second chance, seeing how most of the time their crazy. Unless they die of something unhealable, than they always have the choice to go back."
"Go back? Where?" Lizzy asked.
"To life, deary. You have a second chance. No one has found your body yet, so no one has to know."
Lizzy looked at the door Ciel had disappeared through. "Where's Ciel going?"
"He was a very special case. I…I'm not sure."
Ciel would want her to be happy. She was sure of that. She remembered his face, crying over her because she was dead.
"Will you tell him? Can you tell him I'm alive again?" Lizzy looked at the angel hopefully.
"I'll try."
"Then…I think I'll go back. Back to life."
The angel smiled. "Just through that door." She pointed at a door, a different one then the one Ciel had walked through.
Lizzy took one last look at the room. Then she opened the door and stepped through.

Lizzy sat up from her uncomfortable position on the floor. She had had the oddest dream. She rubbed her forehead then stuck her hand in her pocket. There was nothing there. But she had the strangest suspicion there should be. Oh well.
Paula rushed to her room.
"Lady Elizabeth!" she gasped, waving a letter.
"What is it, Paula?" Lizzy asked, smiling at her maid.
She looks a lot happier then she has since she learned Ciel had died, though Paula.
"It's a letter from Mr. Sebastian!" She handed the letter over to the girl on the floor.
Lizzy opened it, and read in quickly. "Oh Paula!" she gasped.
"What is it, Lady Elizabeth?"
Lizzy handed over the letter, and burst in to joyful tears.
Dear Lady Elizabeth,
I do hope this finds you in good health. I have some wonderful news for you.
Earl Ciel Phantomhive was found in good health the other day. It is unknown how he got there, or how he is still alive. There seems to have been some horrible mistake.
He is healthy, but is suffering from a case of amnesia. He doesn't seem to remember anything after Madame Red's death. In fact, he does not remember her death at all. When you see him again, I hope you don't upset him by talking of things he does not know of.
Thank you,
Sebastian Michaels.
Paula gasped. "He's alive! How did this happen?"
"It's a miracle Paula. God's gift to us." Lizzy was smiling through her tears.
Neither of them questioned where he was found, or who was buried in his place.

Ciel walked through the door, willing himself not to look at Lizzy. Then the world went dark.
"Ciel Phantomhive?" said a deep, resonating voice.
"Yes," he said.
"You have a very strange death schedule on your hands."
Ciel really didn't know what to say to this.
"No."
"I suppose I will have to make something up." The voice sighed. "This is highly irregular." There was the sound of footsteps walking away.
That was strange, Ciel thought. Is this Hell? It seems the priests were wrong.
"Young master?" asked a voice that was as familiar to Ciel as the back of his hand. Even more so.
"Sebastian? Is that you?" Ciel asked.
"Yes. It seems, young master, that you have exceeded my expectations once again."
"How? By dying? Did my soul taste particularly fine?"
Sebastian chuckled. "Just follow me, young master."
"How can I? I can't see anything."
"Just follow my voice."
Ciel did so, and walked into…the second season of Kuroshitsuji.
